Where to Eat Schnitzel in Frankfurt: Atschel Review

I’ve been living near Frankfurt for quite a while now, and my friends and I love exploring local flavors and enjoying great beers together. In search of a cozy place where we could have some tasty schnitzels and good conversations over a beer, we came across Gaststätte Atschel.

Their reservation system works well, but it’s a popular spot, so booking in advance is a must.

The schnitzel is absolutely delicious—thin, flavorful, and generously served as two large slices, making it very satisfying. The bratkartoffeln on the side are just as tasty, and even someone like me, who’s a bit sensitive to greasy food, found it light and well-prepared. You can tell they use quality oil.

The service is fast, and the staff are professional and efficient. The place is clean and well-organized, creating a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

On certain days, there’s even a lady playing the accordion, which really adds to the charm of the evening.

Before your meal, you might want to try the local specialty Handkäse. It’s definitely a unique flavor—still an acquired taste for me, but worth a try.

The beers are great, and the prices are quite reasonable.

All in all, a place I highly recommend.
